Vallejo Dumpster Rental

Under Vallejo Municipal Code Chapter 7.53 and CALGreen, projects valued at $50,000 or more or covering 1,000 square feet or more, plus every demolition, must recycle at least 65% of their construction and demolition debris and 75% of their concrete and asphalt. A Waste Management Plan is due before the permit is issued and weight tags before final inspection; the city can impose a penalty of up to 3% of the project value.

If your job is permitted, ask the city how the rule applies before you order any container.

Downtown Vallejo is known for its historic Victorian and Craftsman houses. For interior work on a home like that, a 20-yard (7-day rental, 2 tons included) is a common starting point; a full gut usually calls for the 30-yard (3 tons included). Old masonry, concrete or soil should go in the 10-yard heavy-material options.

Standard rental includes:

• 3 days for every 10-yard dumpster — debris, clean soil, concrete, bricks, asphalt, or mixed materials.
• 7 days for 20 and 30-yard debris dumpsters.
• Need more time? Additional days are available at $49/day (24-hour notice required).

We accept:

• General debris from home remodels, cleanouts, light demolition, landscaping, etc.
• Clean soil, concrete, bricks or mixed materials (in 10-yard dumpsters only).

Not allowed:

• Hazardous waste, wet paint, batteries, propane tanks, medical waste, refrigerants, etc.
• Treated wood, tires, mattresses, and appliances may incur extra fees.

Each dumpster has a weight limit:

Heavy materials:

10-yard for heavy materials (clean soil, concrete, bricks, or mixed materials) has no weight limit.

For general debris:

• 10-yard: 1 ton
• 20-yard: 2 tons
• 30-yard: 3 tons

Extra weight is charged at $179 per ton (prorated). Fill to the marked line.

If the dumpster is placed on private property (like your driveway), usually no.
If it's going on the street, a city permit may be required.
